12-Month MRR Projection

How to Interpret These Numbers

  • Healthy runway: 12+ months gives you room to iterate. Under 6 months means you need to cut costs or raise capital soon.
  • LTV:CAC ratio: A ratio of 3:1 or higher is considered healthy. If LTV is less than 2x CAC, your acquisition costs are too high.
  • CAC payback: Under 12 months is good for SaaS. Under 6 months is excellent —you're recovering acquisition costs quickly.
  • Net burn: If MRR exceeds operating costs, you're profitable and runway is effectively infinite. Reinvest profits into growth.
  • Churn impact: Even 5% monthly churn caps your growth. Reducing churn from 5% to 3% can double your LTV.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this calculator free?

Yes. This calculator is completely free with no sign-up required. Bookmark this page and use it anytime. All calculations run locally in your browser.

Can I embed this calculator on my site?

You can link to this page or use an iframe. For white-label embedded versions, contact us about our partner program.

How accurate are the calculations?

Calculations use standard industry formulas: ARR = MRR × 12, ARPU = MRR ÷ customers, LTV = ARPU ÷ monthly churn, CAC Payback = CAC ÷ (ARPU × gross margin). Results are estimates — consult a financial advisor for major decisions.

Is my data sent to your servers?

No. All calculations run locally in your browser. Your MRR, cash, and CAC numbers are never sent to our servers or any third party. Page visit analytics (anonymous, no input data) may be collected by Cloudflare.

What is the difference between MRR and ARR?

MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue) is subscription revenue per month. ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) is MRR × 12. For example, $10,000 MRR = $120,000 ARR. Investors cite ARR for valuation; operators track MRR for monthly growth.

What is a good churn rate for SaaS?

B2B SaaS average is 3-5% monthly. Top-quartile achieves 1-2%. Above 7% monthly (84% annualized) is unsustainable. These are gross churn figures; net churn can be negative if expansion exceeds losses.

How is LTV calculated?

Simple LTV = ARPU ÷ Monthly Churn. Example: $49 ARPU with 3% churn = $1,633 LTV. Gross margin-adjusted: LTV = (ARPU × Gross Margin %) ÷ Churn. If churn is 0%, cap LTV at 60 months for realism.

What does CAC payback mean?

CAC Payback = CAC ÷ (Monthly ARPU × Gross Margin %). Measures months to recoup acquisition cost. Under 12 months is healthy; under 6 months is excellent. This calculator uses gross margin-adjusted payback, the industry standard.
